Building strong foundations.
A newly funded neuroscience research, clinical and teaching institute commissioned Rachel Nowak and Associates to develop its launch strategy.
Workshops with institute leaders and prospective industry partners, an analysis of the business case for the institute, a competitor analysis, and deep knowledge of governance and industry partnering were some of the tools used. The launch strategy covered knowledge sharing, discovery research, governance, training the next generation, clinical research and translation, and industry and development.
The Monash Institute of Cognitive and Clinical Neurosciences (now the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health) has grown since its launch seven years ago. In 2022, it was the recipient of the largest philanthropic gift for brain and mental health research in Australia.
