Getting health messages heard.

A government agency responsible for building the nation’s health was absent from public consciousness. This limited the National Health and Medical Research Council’s ability to do its job improving public health.

Rachel Nowak and Associates was commissioned to find the root causes and come up with solutions. We provided the NHMRC with 13 recommended actions to build its communication capacity and culture. These ranged from mandating Plain English through to ensuring agency-wide understanding of its “customer” base.
